Went hunting this weekend and was able to find two Simpsons. First is a 46 made for gimbels with the box. This brush still has the 5 dollar price tag on it. I just wish the rest was with it but brush looks in great shape. Next a as2a for strawbridges in Philadelphia. This is the 2nd as2a I have found. First one is from Hudson but this has more local value since I'm from Philly. Wife helped score these two brushes and some other stuff Smile

You lucky dog!  I have yet to find any English brushes in the Pacific Northwest, but I'm inspired now to keep looking!

They look great and the added attraction of local history makes them even more special.   The 46 looks like it has a usable knot, have you tried it?  What's the plan for the other knot, restoration?

I will use it but have not yet. The as2a will more than likely go back to simpson for a new wig as the other did. I'll probably have to part with the other as2a to cover that though :/
