For now my collection is complete......until I can get a new Wolfman. I obtained this Tradere on eBay and it is from the first 100 made. It's in pristine condition. I will be comparing it to the Pils that I just got a couple weeks ago and the new Alumigoose coming tomorrow. I can't believe how beautiful this Tradere is. From the pics posted, I thought it had some scratches on the top cap but I can not find any. Great find and great purchase. Very excited to take this one out for a spin!!

How about some nice pictures of your collection. I have not seen a Tradere in several years. Thanks

Nice score! From my experience the PILS is much milder than the first gen Tradere OC.
Its a fantastic razor and a beauty.

I've not shaved with a Pils before, but I've seen it described as mild mannered.

My Tradere open comb is not a razor I can use daily. I've used much more aggressive razors and wouldn't call it that necessarily. It's almost a one pass with the grain razor for me though. I use the Solid Bar much more often.

I'm a solid bar razor guy through and through, so that is not saying much.

Comparing it to the Pils should be interesting. Look forward to your thoughts on them both.

Congratulations on rounding out your lineup!! The finish on them is great. I know what you mean.

Wow!  She's a beauty!  I hope you don't misplace it as you may never find it again.   Wink

I wanted to put the Blackbird in that photo as well but I was having the base plate modified at the time. After modification, that has become one of my favorites.

Shaved with the Tradere today and loved it. Just let the head do the work without any pressure and got a BBS shave. Outstanding razor but it is more aggressive than the Pils. Still a great piece of machinery!

How does the Hone compare with your other high-end razors?

I like the Hone a lot. Heavy razor which I like and a lot of feedback when using. I have used it with a Feather and an Astra and I continually like the Astra blades more than the Feathers on all of my DE's. I love the Feathers on all of my SE's. The Hone is medium aggressive and less aggressive than the Tradere but it is extremely efficient and the machine work on it is top notch!!

Thinking about ordering a black bird, what mod did you have done and how would you rate the aggressiveness before and after

I took it in to a machine shop and had the corners and edge of the base plate polished down to get rid of the sharpness on it. Go on the Blackbird thread and you will see what I'm talking about. Now it is one of my favorites. Medium aggressive and an absolute beauty in design and finish. I have the stainless version.

Here's a couple updated photos with all of the razors that I have obtained in the past year and kept because I really like how they shave.
