Wanted to share a rescale project that our member Doc226 kindly helped me achieve. This is my first attempt in reaching out to a fellow forum member for this type of personal project and I have nothing but positive things to say and a bigger appreciation for wealth of experience that resides in the forums. I sent my Lotus - LeGrelot 6/8 (tang stamped 357) which was in dire need of a rescale as the original scales that came on this blade was quite thin which gave to a bit of flexing and after a short time needed help in centering the blade to rest in the scale, which was extremely annoying.

Through the entire process the communication was just simply reassuring, even the phone call to discuss my preferences and personal tastes was quite the humanizing affect as it gave a voice to the names we so often see when we comb through the forum for information. I'm just extremely happy with the work he's done and can't be more grateful for his advice, conversation and help in giving this beautiful blade its new suit to go to work with [Image: thumbup.gif]

** below are Doc's photos's of the finished rescale, I just can't wait to have this come home! **

Thank you so much for the kid words! Watching your new wears drives that enthusiasm to try new or readdress old items to realize its beauty again!

Just the look alone Alfredo is incredible, I'm not sure if its the beveled angle of the scale as a whole package now pops more than it ever did!! Along with the polish you put on these new shoes, they're gonna be a lovely set to dance with each morning! Many thanks for your effort!

Thank you Richard, the blade was really comfortable to use but with a new edge and even newer scales it should be heavenly! Bye bye stubble!

Love the chamfered edge on the horn scales. There is no denying that Alfredo does exceptional work. Congratulations on your Lotus!

The most amazing thing about this razor is the blade. Just look at those last two pictures!

Having the blade in hand Alfredo's crafted scales are just beautiful! The feel of the scale is tremendously improved thus the overall straight feels that much better in my hands now. The edge is scary good, just touching hairs makes them pop! Can't wait to give it a spin tomorrow and see how it feels. Here's a few shots of the black horn scales and last picture is the business end of the straight honed by Alfredo!
