(SOLD off to Norway)

Gillette Super Adjustable Black Beauty 1978 Y1 Date Code. Long Version.

Very Good condition. Thinning my razor den. $45usd $40 + $12 shipping to U.S. Conus or $7 Canada. (O.B.O.) Tracked shipping from Toronto, Canada.

The black "plate" is nylon, not plastic. It functions to lift for the blade adjustment seamlessly. I have never once heard of this part breaking.
They are lighter than the more known Fatboy and Slim. They have a wider range of adjustment than a Fatboy or Slim. (They can be milder and more aggressive than either), and they have the later low profile head design, which makes them a bit more maneuverable in tight spots, like under the nose, than a Fatboy or Slim. The long handled variant, called the 109 when it first released (and later the Super Adjustable), has the longest handle of any of the adjustable razors.

Very nice one.

Close to my birth year. Mine is Z and I found two with the right quarter too. Cannot find a Super Speed with the year and quarter I need. Have been searching for years. Convinced Gillette didn't make them all year in Z. Have seen the quarter before and after the one I want many times.

Well, those Black Beauties shave a treat! Low profile head, long handle, and well balanced. Surprising range of gentle to aggressive too.

GLWTS!!
