Are there any other soaps/creams out there the forum may not know about? SdM was a pleasant surprise. Brutalt Bra was a sleeper that finally garnered appreciation and now I have Esbjerg on my longterm hit list. It is fun, but a little forwarning could help pace my budget. Facepalm

Claus, I'd be curious to know how you would rank the different scents. I will say, I absolutely hate anything Verbena. Orange Vetiver, Amber Cardamom and Grapefruit sound interesting to me.

Last night I placed my order for my first replacement of the Grapefruit cream.
And snuck in:
Verbena cream
Orange and Vetiver cream
Amber Cardamom cream
Grapefruit AS milk (not to be confused with "assmilk"!!!)
Sensitive AS Milk
...and Pre de Provence soap in tin (owned once and want to give it another shot, I want an herbal soapy scent again)

I had to get free shipping !

I've been looking for a Baume.be and Esbjerg comparison.  Thank you, Claus.

I just finished a great shave with Orange Vetiver.  The scent is very nice without been overwhelming.  Very nice cushion and the slickness is just perfect.

Where you get hit in the face with a pound of oranges is with the balm, but it is very refreshing.  You know you just shaved with Orange Vetiver.

This is a great cream and I'm glad it was brought up to the forefront.

I‘m running out of this cream and a.s. gel.
Maybe another scent from Esbjerg?
Did someone compare with their Norbeck line?

Thanks for the excellent review. I have been using the Grapefruit cream, off and on, for a few months and I agree with you take on it. For me it lathers and preforms well and I like its milder scent. I also have used their Aftershave Cream Sensitiv, and find it works quite well, although it might be a little heavy, for some, during the warmer months.
One of these days I will have to look at some of their other creams, maybe the Verbena or Orange Vetiver; not too sure about the Amber Kardamom...

A lot has changed since my first review.

Esbjerg is still a fantastic shaving cream.

I just no longer like to use creams as much as soaps. If I was bowl lathering, creams would still be my favourite, but I have face lathered for 99% of my shaves since 2012, and I now find shaving soaps so much better for face lathering, that I even prefer a less than stellar shaving soap over an absolutely top performing shaving cream.

I don’t like how you build the lather from a soft dollop of cream as much as when you build the lather in a more uniformly layer in a soap.
I also prefer that you can put water in your soaps to soften them up before the shave. It’s not that secure to add water to slightly hard creams, but it can be done.

In short Esbjerg is still a fantastic cream.
I just prefer shaving soaps these days.
