If you have ever wanted a WW brush, he has a wait list going today.  They typically fill up quickly (like 5 min), but this one is abnormally still open (about 50 spots left last time I checked).

Go to his website if interested.  Good Luck.

Thanks!

I thought that list was for LE brushes only.

Thanks again!

Unfortunately the new scheme doesn't reward customer loyalty!  If you are the last one on the list, you won't get your brush probably until the end of the year or next.  Specially when WW has other commitments with companies.

I may be wrong, but customer loyalty should have some perks.

I believe he said June would be when the list would open again but there wouldn't be a public announcement about it opening though.

I am #50ish on the list plus I am on the LE list as well, I currently have two WW brushes and Peter done excellent work, I am in no hurry for the brush as I have several to choose from and if I don't get until around Christmas it will make a nice gift.

What is the LE list vs. The 175 person wait list?

Maybe not in terms of wait time, but there are other ways of rewarding customer loyalty besides getting to them faster.

An example would be if Peter makes a really cool handle and sets it to the side, or happens to come across an overstuffed knot, or something like that. It's not all about the wait.

I gotten two from him and got on the list this time around too. Just because it was open.

He allowed be to delay my number on the queue while I waited for something previously.

Peter is a Brush maker that definitely knows how to buckle down and get it done --- no fear of mysterious lists that may or may not result in you getting a brush sometime before the year 2020 -- other artisans could take note in my opinion.  Peter has always been fast and never sacrificed quality.

This is a very delicate balance. I'm not saying I totally disagree with you, but I do think that if an artisan caters only to a small clientele, they risk losing out completely on other potential customers who are put off by the combination of the wait and the frustration of seeing the same people served again and again.

Peter releases a (L)imited (E)dition Brush every so often and it's offered to the first person on the list and if that person declines it goes to the next and so on, I am on the LE list and may get one before I retire Biggrin  the other list is where you get to basically hand design you brush ( handle shape, color scheme, knot size, loft, material) and I am on that most recent list and once that list if full it does not reopen until the previous list has been completed or that's my take.

Gotcha, thanks Panther! I was on the list last year and bought a Bob w/Envy White around mid December. Great brush, just didn't know what the LE was all about. Thanks for clearing that up.

This was funny.  But it is probably true.  If you are 175, good luck getting a LE in your lifetime, lol.....I'm not going to say anything more.

The good thing is with so many artisan brush makers in the wet shaving world, waiting for a nice brush is not really necessary.

I had the choice to purchase a really nice brush from a large brush manufacturer and get in in a few days or add my name to a waiting list for a really nice custom made brush from a 1 person shop.  I am on the list.

As long as I am treated equally/fairly with everyone else, I am happy and loyal.  Sounds like Wolf Whiskers is a one person shop and will always be a one person shop.  Dividing his time between creating, marketing, and administrative must be difficult.

I will say opening the list on Palm Sunday morning was not the best option.

Howie

I am number 51 on both the LE and custom brush lists so time will tell.
