I received this "First Edition" custom handle brush from Brad yesterday and used it for the first shave this morning.
This handle was made with two blocks of butterscotch that had a sliver of faux tortoiseshell wedged between them.  Made in the Duke style (like a size 4+).
The knot is one of Brad's new hand-tied Manchurian 2-band 26mm set at a 50mm loft.  There's zero glue bump on these knots and when I measured the core "free loft" with a skewer I measured 55mm.
The hair fibers have excellent backbone and the tips are very soft.  No scritch to be found on this one! I'm a happy bunny. Biggrin
These knots are really something special.

Very nice.  I wasn't aware that Brad is offering a 2-band Manchurian knot.

Thanks guys.  Brad has both 2-band and 3-band knots in this "Manchurian" type.  Now I have one of each.  Both have super soft tips and no scritch.

Nope.  I have a US mailing address, so it slipped under the radar. Wink

The Archduke is gorgeous , I went for a Mesquite Beehive style in Butterscotch recently and I'm well pleased with it. I went for the 30mm Manchurian with a 54mm loft to avoid any stub. I needn't have worried the Manchurian is so plush and soft but with excellent backbone. like you say no scritch either. I could buy all my brushes from Brad , great guy and great to do business with. Enjoy.

Mainly backbone.  The 2-band has more of it. Smile
