Sunday morning:

Mentholated Glycerine soap
TGN 2 band Fan
Gillette OLD new replate
Med Prep (2)
Kramperts Finest LE menthol

For a (to me) mild razor this sure does give a great shave. But IMO all of the really old Gillettes perform nicely.

Outstanding shave again this morning with MW soap...first time out with the Marrakesh scent, really enjoyed the "earthiness" quality of this scent. Have a great Sunday gents!

Blind Blade Test, Blade 1, Day 2 Sunday July 22, 2012
[Image: BBT-Day2-Blade1.jpg]
Prep: Brush soaking in hot water, face scrub with TSD Sandalwood soap, Tepid Water Shower
Razor: 1965 Gillette Slim Adjustable set to 9
Blade: Unknown -Blade 1, Shave 2
Brush: VIe-Long LE Beehive Natural Horse Hair
Soap: Tabac
AS: English Leather
Post: Cold Water Rinse, Alum, Cold Water Rinse, Double Splash Of Aftershave.

Day two of the blind blade test, which is the 2nd shave with blade number 1.

Per the guidelines of the test I will not be posting my results of the blade, as we do not want other participants to be influenced.

The only variance was the aftershave, which today was English Leather. I am a huge fan of old classic aftershaves that my father was able to pick up from the local pharmacy. This is one of those that he always had in the cabinet. For years I never put on aftershave as I was a cologne snob. Today those high priced colognes are collecting dust, while I enjoy and prefer my $5-$10 aftershaves.

Soap: L'Occitane Cade in UFO bowl
Razor: Wilkinson Sticky
Blade: Gillette Yellow Sharpedge
Post: Alum & Thayer's Superhazel

After getting comfortable with Feather blades in the Sticky I decided to try out the Sharpedge blades as they seem to have good review! Whoa! I love them in the Sticky, much more comfortable and smooth. I'll need to get a bundle of them soon. I'm really loving the Cade, its light but wonderful fragrance along with the smooth, creamy lather is pure bliss!
