It seems to me to make GEM modification more economical you would need to buy new in bulk, vs a 10 pack for $5.00 plus shipping.

Thanks gents!

If they are PTFE blades they would have to be for shaving. They wouldn't coat blades just to scrap paint with.

Thanks Ron. That does make sense! Are you still using Gems in your Oneblade? You don't modify, right?

I ended up selling my OneBlade. I wanted something with more blade feel. I was using Gem blades not modified.

Still wonders me why no one attempted to make/print an adapter plate locking in the feather locks on one side and a spring pin not the other side to lock in the central hole of the gem.
in a v2 there is space enough to slide one blade under the other one the top the cutting blade the bottom one holding it.

But now the core is out it would not surprise me if someone took it apart and simply altered the pins (remove the originals and add two new smal metal ones) and widen the back slit to use even a spined gem

Ordered the punch already wrecked the nibler
Stil damn nice shave on the v2 getting the core soon

Not worth the trouble.

So I tried using the nipper today. I ruined the first blade. I think I got it on the first half of the second blade. I then went to do the other side and it broke the nipper. In the bin that went! I'll settle for smiling GEM's or just go with the Feathers if I need to. Oh well. Maybe some day I'll try just using pliers.
