I'm looking for some good soap stick for travelling.

I have tried these so far:

DR Harris - pretty good, but nothing special
TOBS - both my TOBS sticks leaked and got the inside of my toilet full of TOBS soap
Tabac - so far my favourite soap stick
La Toja - very cheap, and smells like the red shaving cream, a bit artificial, but very nice performance
Speick - very chepa too, and performs great also

Have yet to test the Valobra stick.

What are your favourite shaving soap sticks ?

I have and like DR Harris - but rarely use shave sticks outside of travel. That said, they work great! When the arlington has had it, I'll probably just take the empty container (or an old twist up deodorant tube) and form a new shave stick out of one of my soft soaps like cella, reef point, or soap commander. They are pretty cost effective if you make 'em yourself.

Interesting. Never even heard of that one Ben. I've been using the tabac stick myself.

Myrurgia is Span's leading fragrance house. Their perfumes (and perfumed soaps) are still in production, but sadly the shave sticks were discontinued at least a decade ago.

Any of Michelle's soaps come in a stick, or, you can order the stick container without soap from her site.

Very popular in Puerto Rico.  My grandmother used to use the Maja bath soaps.

My two favorites, La Toja and Spieck.

Strictly on scent (still haven't brought myself to christen it), Irisch Moos.

I started with a stick of DR Harris Arlington, but I couldn't get the hang of getting a good lather from the process. Gifted it to a friend that loves it. Went straight to a bowl of the same soap and lived happily ever after.

The trick is to get the stick's tip wet and rub it lightly two or three passes over your entire wet beard until a subtle lather starts. Then work in with the brush and voila - full face lather and brush.

Arko, Tabac, Palmolive, Ver Gulde Hand, LEA and Speick all work well for me. Then there is the roll your own from your fav shave soap.

Palmolive is my favorite stick and probably my favorite soap overall. Harris can be good but because it's so hard it is difficult to load enough as a stick in my experience.
