This is also made from locally sourced hardwood maple from Gibsonville, NC and made to take on the appearance of a acorn.  It is set to a 22mm black badger knot with an approximate 50mm loft.

COOL! Acorns used to be left on windowsills in Scandinavia to ward off lightning. The custom survives  in acorn shaped pull cords on window blinds and curtains to this day.  You are now safe from electrocution while shaving.

Thanks guys.  I am really thinking for future acorns of doing the very intricate work on the cap as well to mimic the rough textured cap.  We will see on that however.
