This relentless procession of new soaps is both exciting and a bit taxing. I am waiting for the new Brutalt and now this.

Which scent did you buy? My first one was Grapefruit and now I just picked up Amber Kardamom as well. Looking forward to trying it!

You are all leaving feedback @ BULLGOOSE? I'm leaning to grapefruit. I have it for breakfast and this seems logical, right?

I picked up both the cream and balm Orange Vetiver from a nice gentleman on here (thank you, Ron).  Someone on here was dead on - you get some orange in the cream, but the orange in the balm explodes.  It's very, very nice stuff.

I too am very impressed. I have been using this soap with my One Blade and Feather blades. It can't get any better than this.

I'm glad you enjoyed it.  I own all of them, except Sensitiv, and love them all.  Extraordinary product!

Question:  as you all know this stuff is super soft.  What is your preferred brush loading technique?

Load from puck?
Scoop and bowl load/lather?

Definitely scoop and scuttle lather. For me, there's no question.

When you buy it in their store, they include a plastic spatula. I use it to smear some on my face and then a damp brush so I have a very thin layer all over my face - similar to the effect you would have with a shave stick.

Then it's happy face lathering like always Biggrin

I face lather, almost always.

Whether I face lather or bowl lather, I do the same thing: Swirl my semi wet brush in the bowl directly. No matter if the cream is soft or semi hard or a croap.

I never add water to a cream, unless the cream is dried out, and if so add very little water, perhaps a few drops.

On rare occasions, if the cream is REALLY REALLY soft, I dap my finger in the cream directly and apply the cream gently to the top of the brush bristles with my finger.

This is the first I've heard of this soap. Is it like Tabula Rasa?

No...it is much more of a cream than Tabula Rasa in my opinion. The lather seems slicker but is perhaps not as voluminous (at least with hard water). Both give a great shave though.

Much appreciated.

Ok...now can anyone give me guidance/thoughts on the scents?

2nd shave:  multiple XTG on my neck area and this stuff was laughing at me.  As if to say, "is that all you got, Big Boy?".

Amazing how well it performs.
