That was a barber that knew what he was doing and I loved the background music.

Hi Jerry

Thank you for posting Thumbsup

I know exactly where I will be going the next time I'm back in Dublin (my mother's birthday place).

Yet! again kicks oneself for not being into traditional wetshaving when living in London and also visiting Dublin at least once a year...

Take care, Mike

Jerry,
Thank you for the video on Waldorf Barbershop. It must be a great place. Incidentally, I did an extended interview with the legendary Liam Finnegan, the barbershop's owner, for Straight Razor Place. This was part of my Conversations with Obie series. Here's a link to the interview, if anyone is interested.

That was a great interview with Liam. I did see him in another You tube shaving another guy. First he puts the lather on the guy's face and rubs it in with his hand then he puts a hot towel on the shave cream and after awhile wipes it off. Then back to more shave cream and finally starts shaving. You need a lot of time on your hands to get shaved at the Waldorf.

Jerry, my dear friend, a shave at the Waldorf by the great Liam Finnegan would be memorable treat, indeed. Perhaps one of these days — if I ever have a bestseller. Thanks for the kind words on the interview. I did the interview by e-mail. I would have loved to sit with him and chat away. Imagine. Either way, I loved doing the interview with him.
Stay well,
Obie

Hi Jerry

Rest assured I will definitely ask if I can film them shaving me, but I'm not sure I would want to subject anyone to watching my ugly mug Tongue

Take care, Mike

Hi Obie

Thanks for posting that, I enjoyed reading it this morning Thumbsup

Can only imagine some of the famous people Liam has shaved during his career when he drops a name like Steve McQueen...

Take care, Mike

Edit: Fixed smiley.

Hi Celestino

My mother is Irish (born and raised in Dublin), all her remaining family still living in the Emerald Isle.

My father was half English, half Canadian.

I was born and raised in London UK, but every summer was spent in Ireland... whenever Ireland play England in sport I will always cheer for the Irish Smile

The wife's wedding ring is a White Gold Diamond and Emerald Ring and mine is a Ogham Wedding Band (both bought in Dublin).

Take care, Mike

Edit: Expanded Irish context.
