Hi Gents:  Hope all is well with you and your families.  Just wanted to share with you a Gillette DE blade that you can get locally.  Check it out!

I found these blades at my local Walgreens.  I grabbed a couple of cards and they are pretty good.

Thanks for the review!

Hi Jeff:  These blades are made in Brazil.

Hi Celestino:  Thank you my friend.  Also . . . just wanted to give everyone an update on these blades and I just wanted to say that it has made
it to my main rotation of DE blades.  Finally a DE blade that one can get locally.  Hope this helps our fellow travelers. Wink

This blade is not made here in BR for quite some time now. In fact, as far as I know, the Manaus plant also stopped manufacture of the " Azul aço inox" ( gillette blue stainless steel) and the only DE blade they're making is, oddly enough, the Wilkinson Sword, Wich is a favourite among barbers ( except me).

Is there any date of manufacture in these?

I managed to get some carts through a buddy that lives in Manaus, it's indeed a excellent blade.

Recently picked up a pack of these from a local Walgreens too...I've been doing a little comparo myself and feel that these rank very well against some of my favorite blades...Med preps, G.silver blues, Iridiums ect. They feel exceptionally thin to me and provide very smooth shaves for my coarse beard regardless of beard growth/length. I only use blades for three shaves, and these had no prob staying sharp and smooth during their final shave. They are the best locally sold blades I've found, making these a great option if waiting to receive an online blade order, or if I can't make to Pasteurs in Manhattan...Even though they are cheap compared
to cart. blades, they are still somewhere between
two or three times the price of my "go to" blades I
mentioned above...Still they are def worth a try and hopefully they will maintain or restart production related to the above post...

I like these, but for the price I think the Russian made Gillette Platinums shave equal at a much better price. I think the NOS Gillette Platinum Plus from other countries (UK, US, France) shave better and last longer at around the same price. If you absolutely must have something local though, these are a good bet. Best regards
