I'm into collecting German shaving hardware. Anyone have any luck getting a hold of a Wiborg brush or know how to get my hands on one?

Florian Arnold is the owner and recipient of incoming emails.  He's like a Swiss watch in his communications with the exception of this last 6 months.  He suffered a back injury and has been very hard to reach.  I surmise once he gets back on his feet he'll be playing catch up but once you get ahold of him it's a very smooth process.

Thanks for the info. I tried contacting him a few months back to no avail. Makes total sense now. Any idea on pricing for his white badger brushes?  Just curious on how many pop cans I need to pick up this month.

I'll echo what Tappan has said.

I received my last brushes in December of last year.

Several month after the original completion date.

Florian reached out to me and explained that he had hurt his back.

He is a one man show so if he has injured it again I'm sure he's focusing on healing.

I will say that when it was injured end of last year people had trouble reaching him.

I bought 2 28mm brushes and they were right around $190, both white badger hair.

Well I hope he's doing ok. Back injuries are terrible and can take a long time to heal. Pricing doesn't seem too bad compared to some of the things that are going on in the brush business these days.

Used my Wiborg yesterday. Excellent stuff! Going to get a 3-band someday when he's feeling good. Definitely wished him well in my last e-mail as I heard he hurt his back.

This is my experience as well. If you get a hold of Florian and place an order he will be pretty responsive and accommodating to what you want in your brush.
I also bought two 28mm brushes and they are excellent. I'd place them in the same top tier group of brush makers as Simpson LE's, Paladin, The Varlet and Shavemac.
Hopefully he gets caught up on orders soon.

I am sorry to learn of Florian's injury and wish him a speedy recovery. I bought two Wiborgs from him and can say he offers wonderful customer service.

His handles have very distinctive, exuberant designs and are hand-turned. The knots he sourced in my two brushes are very high quality indeed.

I own one Wiborg brush, a white badger "the barber".
Well, it is my very favorite brush.
A "the vase" is in the making and should arrive soon.

I paid significantly more than that for my 28mm Anchor. Sad

They are stunning brushes, imo. He's managed to make new designs that still look traditional, historic even, for lack of a better word. Astonishing, stunning and ..........bad timing for me as I've used up my available B.A.D. funds for the foreseeable future. I haven't been so attracted to a line of brushes since I discovered Rooney and M&F.

I know Florian is making brushes because there were FIVE at the Big Shave West 2 in Pasadena that Damon said he had just received.  I have no idea when he might have ordered them, though.

If anyone has any luck getting in touch with him please let me know. I've been trying for a few months now to no avail.

Me too I have a brush on order. It was promised for the first week in April. I have e-mailed Florian twice with no responses. I ordered the brush before Christmas

My first Wiborg was late several weeks, too.

I had ordered a "vase" before christmas, too.
It should have been made in April, too.
I recently had a short mail conversation about handle colour.
Waiting again now Smile

Just wait.
Your brush will come. Not in time, remember the health issues.
These brushes are well worth the wait and their price.

Whoa!  It must be the exposure, but no matter how you slice it that brush looks great!
