Hope everyone is having a nice weekend.  Offering up my Simpson CH2 2-band silvertip in the faux black marble handle Mark was selling late 2015.  Brush has been very lightly used in a large rotation, and is in excellent condition.  My calipers show 28x51 knot dimensions.  Asking $300 $285 priority shipped via PayPal; CONUS only please.  Retail was $330. Please pm me with interest or questions, and thank you for looking!!  Couple of folks have asked about the box coming with the brush, so added a pic.

I have one of these and it is a keeper.

Still very dense and firm because it is a Chubby, but not as dense or scrubby as a Manchurian.

No scritch at all.

Very nice hair IMO.

Have you used a 2011-2013 Chubby 2-band?

So what is the difference in this and the manchurian. I know its all about what you prefer but is this supposed to be a higher grade?

I am no expert, but I doubt it is supposed to be a higher grade. As the seller states, this retailed for around 330 and aren't the Manchurian Chubby 2s about 430.

I'd guess this was Simpsons attempt to tap into the market for people looking for that great 2011-2014 Simpson 2-band. I had a Duke 2 and a Chubby 3 in that famous 2-band. Is this as nice as that?  Not quite in my opinion, but it goes a long way in that direction.

This has more flex than the Manchurian and better flow through it seems to me.  It still has great backbone, just less that the Manchurian. And it does not have gel tips like so much of the current hair. Tips are not scritchy and not terribly scrubby, but not the super softness of a gel tip. I take all that to be positive.

A fair number of them have appeared on the resale market, so clearly some buyers weren't wild about them.

Funny you should mention this Smile. I was just browsing to see if anyone sold a Chubby 2 2-band lately because I'm looking to unload mine soon. It's an amazing brush but I can't justify owning it on my family income and being the stepfather of 2 young boys.

Mark had fine brushes in that batch. I'll never sell my Chubby 2!

these are very good brushes.

they have more backbone than the old 2 banders from 11 to 13. i had a chubby 3 and chubby 2 that were the 2 band. this brush has substantially more back bone, tips aren't as silky soft, however. nowhere near the scrub you find in a manchurian, less back bone. i think it's more backbone than a shavemac 2 band silvertip knot.

300 is a good price for this outstanding brush, imo.
