Tighter fit than 34th Street but they should have it as it was there a week ago.

Don't forget to walk 2 blocks up (855 Lex) on the right Cambridge Chemists...another longtime favorite.

I am not sure about that brand of soap, but when I went a few years ago I saw more shaving goods in one spot than I have ever seen before.

The isles are narrow and stacked from ankle level to the ceiling....

Highly likely that they will have it in stock.  As Johnny mentioned both stores are well stocked.  It's a great place to visit.

34th street is more organized and has a better selection of artisan items.

Lexington is tight and more fun sometimes because it becomes a treasure hunt....i found a black label tub of beaudelaire.

Cambridge chemist had a bit more higher end items.

Both are well stocked; amazing really how many items they can cram into small quarters.

Pasteurs on 53 E 34th. str. is bigger ,and have more artisan sheving soaps like XPEC , NUAVIA Rossa , Blue ,  Saponificio Varesino , Catie bubbles  etc and shaving brushes. The same stuff is mising in Lexington ave. store.
I highly recommend you to spare enough time for your visit ,because this is the best place in NY , and ONE hour could fly very fast. Also they constantly updated with new artisan soaps and A/S .Good luck .

I was dissapointed in the Lexington store in all honesty. Now that's not saying its not impressive and fully stocked. But the east 34th street was much better, the location of the products were better, I met the owner and we discussed shaving and products for at least a half hour, it was a much better experience all around. He actually gave me some free feather blades to sample. They even had a whole end of isle dedicated to just penhaligons edt, perfumes, and colognes. I've been meaning to post photos and details about my experience, I've been working so much, haven't had the time

f I was going to the city again, and visiting one of these stores, east 34th would be my visit without even thinking about it

I was just at Pasteur's on 34th St. this past Friday during a long weekend in NYC.  I asked the owner which of the two locations had the  larger selection of shaving items and he said 34th St.  Amazing selection of shaving stuff.

34th is 1 mile from my hotel and Lexington is 0.7 -- I'm gonna walk the extra .3 mile to get the better selection Smile

Anyone know if they carry Speick Deo stick and the bath soap? I'm out and need more, but if I can pick up next week - I'd rather do that.

Welcome to NYC, Jason...hope you've been enjoying that Lúcido.
I definitely recall seeing the Speick deo stick; not certain about the bath soap.

I visited in February of last year just before they really upped their artisan game and I found the 34th street store to be the best. As I said this was over a year ago but the Lexington store was a bit more cramped and left me a bit underwhelmed. Enjoy

I have never been there myself even though I was born in Brooklyn nor do I know anybody who has visited either of their stores.  However, about a year ago I watched something on You Tube where someone took a video of the entire store with their permission and it was fantastic.  They have everything.  I believe that was taken at the 34th street store.  Keep in mind taxies in there City can get you to both quickly.  Have a great trip and make sure you get some good New York pizza.

Everywhere. Bad pizza does not last long.
