So with the recent "sharpness" thread, I thought I'd ask what the difference is between these 3 blades.

I have been very happy with the POLSILVER blades:

Now I am seeing POLSILVER SI blades:

As well as some of the well regarded SUPER IRIDIUM blades:

So what is the difference (if any) between the POLSILVER SUPER IRIDIUM and SUPER IRIDIUM blades? Are they better the the POLSILVER's I already have?

While I do like Polsilvers, I do NOT find them to be as sharp nor as smooth as the IRIDIUM SUPER....the are truly my favorite blade of all time. The Polsivers just don't cut the grade to be in the same category to me.

According to several distributors of the POLSILVER SI blades...same blade, different package. I have found them to be incredible blades...I can't tell the difference, even though others have claimed they can....I would be curious to see a blind shave test with these two blades....

If you can get your hands on either you won't be disappointed. For me, best blade ever, hands down. Worth all the hype...

i have to concur with Ken, here. Polisilvers are nice, but the Super Iridiums as so smooth.

I have never used a PolSilver Super Iridium, but I have used the PolSilver and the Iridium Super.

In my experience, the PolSilvers were equal to the Iridium Supers with regard to sharpness and smoothness of shave, but actually a bit better than the iridiums when it came to post-shave irritation.

However, I was able to get more great shaves out of the Iridiums (11 shaves vs. 9 for PolSilvers).

Given the opportunity to buy either, for the same price, I'd get the PolSilvers.

I use all 3 in my regular rotation and the shaves are terrific from them all. The original SI is probably my favorite by a "hair", but in a blind test, I probably couldn't tell the diff.

I agree with Randy. I now have all three and I'd give the nod to the original but in a blind test.....I could fail.

Originally, I thought the Polsilver,(the package that you have pictured) was not as sharp though similarly smooth but the last shave I had with it seemed extremely similar if not the same, to the other two blades.

As far as lasting, I am three and out with anything other than a Feather which is two and out. It's not worth if for me to get ripped up which happens as opposed to tugging when the the blade is done.
All in all, my favorite three blades. IMO, if you end up liking any variant of these, give the Gillette Platinum and the Gillette Silver Blue's a try. They are not the same as the above but still in the same vain, especially the Platinum which is harder to find.
Of course, especially blades; always a YMMV.

I use all 3 with great results. In terms of smoothness, sharpness and longevity they all out perform any other DE blade I've ever used.

The SI is my favourite and I struggle to notice any difference with the PSI. There is perhaps a slight difference with the Polsilver, but I'm sure I'd be unable to tell them apart in a blind test.

I buy all 3 from Emilio and can recommend him as highly as I recommend these fantastic blades! (In fact, I just ordered some more of each from Emilio a few days ago!)

I can't tell the difference at all. I like the original brown Polsilver packaging though. Blank I find they perform a bit better than the others if you use HOT water to really warm the razor/blade up. Not sure why that is, but it works. I got mine from Pasteur's in NYC last time I was there and they were great to shave with; here, because of the limiter on the gas hot water (NSW is a nanny state) they didn't quite have the same edge. I know I could always boil some water up, though.
