Found this diamond in the rough early last month.

Had some Spare time, so off to work on three straights I go.
Rescaled in ziricote, 0.075 thickness, white acrylic wedge, and repinned in brass.
Sanded from 220 up to 600. Went to the wheel to bring out the luster.
Did not virginize the steel, left some patina and the branding sharp.
Has a few pits but none near the bevel.
I hope it will make a fine shaver.
It was fun bring it back to life.

I'm intrigued by that ring. I would really like to shave with that style razor. Curious if it would add any more control.

Nice resto work as wellSmile

Lovely restore! The scales that were used match really well, you really breathed new life back into the straight, great skill!

Have you tried shaving with it yet? Wondering how it handles with the ring as well Smile
