I am undecided between three musical pieces to listen to while shaving tomorrow with mine. Shall it be NORWEGIAN WOOD by THE BEATLES
or perhaps WALDESTILLE by GRIEG ( BOOK X op.71)?
OR, to match my excitement

Sounds wonderful Smile Now I just have to be patient while my tins makes it back home to Norway...

May I suggest Edward Grieg's Morning Mood? That is the one I have lined up on my phone for when my tin arrives Smile

Talk about 'Carrying coals to Newcastle' I hope it shows up with some cheezie tourist t shirts or baseball caps from Hollywood and a tanned tin. Cool

I am baffled how a soap with only four ingredients can be so slick and have such a refined post shave feel.  It really is an amazing scent and enjoyable experience.  I can find no fault with the performance of this soap and I wish the supply was infinite.  I would very much like to have this soap by my side for years to come.

The tin is still not my friend but lets not judge someone by their house  Wink

Morning Mood was written to describe a sunrise over the Moroccan desert rather than a Norwegian forest, although I agree, it would be a beautiful piece to shave by when using Brutalt Bra.

My tin arrived during intermission of The season finale at The Met ; Mozart's Abduction of the Seraglio. I also received a rather esoteric tome on Sufism in the mail. My Japanese neighbor brought over fresh made sushi and I lost all momentum making this a Scandinavian themed Saturday.

Day two and another shave only confirmed what excitement of the new can cloud. The scent became more pronounced after yesterday's initial shave and the memories invoked
demanding buying a small reserve ASAP and be the first to suggest, no beg it be considered for additional batches if not regular production. But we DO buy soap for it's shaving
qualities; DO we? Shave it does, to the surprise of us numb to ingredient lists worthy of a French Cordon blue chef. This is a pan fried fish fresh caught with only a pinch of salt and pepper and now with spruce needle tea.
If there is fault, and I don't care about critiques of tins; it is my suddenly shaking hand being pulled as if over a OUIJA board lettered with SdM, PdP et al. A underworld shade demanding I spell out my own doom while tempting my soul with yet another soap after swearing a monastic vow approach of just one-or two.

The Brutalt Bra soap is soft and has to be scooped out.

Hi Claus,

How soft is this soap? I prefer hardness similar to Stirling or Mike's over something softer. Thanks.

Brutalt is a soap. It isn't milled and pressed hockeypuck hard like Dittmars or MWF but it's no 'croap'.

Agreed.
It's no different from most other artisan soaps in terms of consistency.

Two phenomenon follow these LE releases. A. Initial sales will  be brisk followed by a few inevitable postings of resales in BST. Then it settles down to quiet sales until sold out. At this point B. People post in hopes someone will sell one offering a first born male child or pink slip to the Prius. C. Buy it now.

Having used tins of the original in 2015 and now the LE it's hard to label this as an artisan soap. That word has been beaten to death any way.
Hallgeir Bergum, a chemist, has created, in my opinion, a truly superior product here. Simple, pure ingredients void of those overpowering scents and pretty labels coming out of people's kitchens these days. One of the best soaps I have used in over 20 years of wetshaving. He nailed soap making.

I just hope he can make the time to keep producing his soap from his western Norwegian base!
