Hey guys,

I thought I'd share a fun little DIY project that I worked on the other day.  After looking for a razor stand to fit my larger 15.5'ish mm handles, and coming up dry, I decided to make my own.  I used a scrap piece of Redwood, about 1.75"x1.75"x6", and bored four 5/8" (15.8mm) holes as deep as I could without punching through.  I then painted it with an ultra white semi gloss.  It's much more stable that I expected.  Zero wobble and not tippy at all.

It will be nice to have my in-rotation razors in order.  The empty hole is reserved for a Classic Cobra.  I may also have to move the Mergress to make room for a polished Blackbird, when that comes in.

Not as fancy as many on the nook, and quite small, but I'm happy with it.

Cheers,
Eric

Great idea.

Matches pretty good to the cupboard.

I use a few toothbrush holders and a couple tie racks.

Your solution would be more economical and customizable.

Thanks guys!  A drill press would have been nice, but I think I got the holes straight enough eyeballing with a hand drill.  LoL!!   Tongue

Get in touch with Rudy Vey.

He'll make you a custom stand for every razor you have.

He made me one at 14mm or 15mm I think for my TiTan UFO.

You better measure just right and give yourself half a mm so it actually fits and isn't too tight to remove easily.

Here's mine.

Thank you all.  If I can find a drill press I might consider making another with exotic wood.  A stand like this in Koa would be killer!
The Rudy Vey option is also pretty sweet!  I didn't know about that option.  lol.

Cheers,
Eric
