Hello, everyone! A couple of members turned me on to this forum, and I look forward to learning from and sharing with all of you. A little about me: I live in the San Francisco Bay Area and have been wetshaving for around 10 years. My latest thing is brush restoration, and I'll post a pic of my brushes as soon as I figure out how to do so.

Happy shaving!

Dave

Thought I'd share a pic of my brushes, all but one a restore.

From left to right:

* Vulfix 2233 reknotted by Shavemac with an 18mm silvertip knot set at 46mm. A face lathering monster!
* Semogue 1250 with an 18mm Golden Nib silvertip grade A knot set at 46mm
* Ever Ready 150 with a 20mm Whipped Dog silvertip knot set at 50mm. Overall height 4.6", my biggest brush (and probably a bit too big)
* Ever Ready 300PBT with an 18mm Golden Nib silvertip grade A knot set at 48mm
* Ever Ready 300PBT with an 18mm knot I extracted from a Savile Row 3118 (a fave knot, but the handle was too short) set at 49mm.

I have two Ever Ready 300PBTs because that was the brush my dad used when I was little, and I've always loved the look. I restored a third 300PBT for my brother. I have an Ever Ready 200T in teal and cream on the way, which will probably get a Golden Nib finest knot. Can hardly wait!
