I am posting to see if any of you have insight as to what is going on with Boellis Panama. Are they having production issues? Email issues?

I placed a restock order with them on January 5th for the shaving soap and the Coffret bowls and received a confirmation email on January 19th acknowledging receipt of the order. I was told craftsmen were preparing my order and that I would receive an invoice when it was ready. In the four months that have followed, I have sent six emails asking for an ETA but have received nothing but radio silence.

I remember @ 2012 everyone was out of stock and BP was observing Omerta. I know it's a world class product on my long list to try. This however is not world class customer relations.

Perhaps. It is just odd as they clearly have received the order. Four months with no communication and no soap is just plain strange. If their email server is not working, they have my store number and my cell number.

Send them an email saying you wish to cancel due to lack of customer service. Maybe give them a call if able. If you've paid already, request a refund. Bet you they will contact you then!

It is a dilemma because I would really just like to have the soap. I have customers asking for it.

Non-responsiveness?  Not a new issue, Phil.

A couple years ago, I contacted them regarding a coffret/bowl that had arrived to me broken from shipment, asking if there was any way I could buy a replacement.  That email was in Italian.  No response.

I wrote them again in English a month later, and… No response again.

Remind them of how many other DEPENDABLE Companies there are and give them a one week deadline to answer...if that doesn,t work pay for my airline ticket and I,ll go and kick their ass....or send my wife and she will nag them into submission in about 2 minutes......(or less) Biggrin

I hear Ya. If you just sit back and do nothing until it hopefully arrives then it shows them they can continue to treat customers and vendors in this manner. If you cancel then it's unhappy customers. Damned if you do and if you don't.
Hope your able to come to a beneficial resolution Phil. Sorry to hear your going through it.

I noticed that Italian Barber and MensEssentials were also sold out, although Smallflower had the Coffret. Maybe there is a production issue.

RR Joe has mentioned how difficult it can be to communicate with the Italian manufacturers. Maybe they are in their vacation period of the year. I would be frustrated myself and probably cancel the order.

Very frustrating, Phil.
Lovely soap, but Antica Barbierra Colla cream is equally great. Maybe get that instead.

I went to this website,  http://www.panama1924.it/pagine/index.php.

When I clicked on Shop or News, basically nothing happens.  Could they be out of business?

Contact the Italian consul and/or embassy. If they cannot match product reputation with business reputation it does little good to get treated like a Dickens character asking "please sir, I'd like some more".

I will have to visit their website. I doubt they are out of business but, stranger things have happened. Huh
