My only experience with synth so far is my travel brush for the last few years, the Kent silvertex .

I want to add a second brush so I can keep it in my mom's house as I frequently visit her.

My two contenders are the RR plissoft and the WD synthetic badger.
Perhaps from those who own both brushes can I please have a comparison of one vs the other to help me decide?

P.S my budget is very limited, $25 top

ASYLUM- You'd be mad to use anything else.

Plissoft will be considerably softer.  If you prefer a lot of backbone, go with an ubersoft knot (Whipped Dog or Asylum would both work).  If you like thinks on the softer side, then go with the Plissoft-style knot.  RR, Stirling, Maggards, and Fine all tend to use the same knot and fall into your price range nicely.

I would recommend Maggard. Buy two at the price. Well worth it.

I would suggest the Maggard razor brush or one of the Razorock Plissoft brushes. The knots have similar feel but Razorocks have more backbone.

I use the plissoft regularly and enjoy out. Also check out the synthetics from shave revolution. Also supposed to be pretty nice.
