I love wet shaving because it is a lot like cooking, which I also enjoy as a hobby. Finding and combining different elements together, using multiple senses, to create an excellent experience. It is fun and makes a task I have to do everyday into something that I not only enjoy, it gives me something to geek out about.

Shaving (Gillette Fusion multiblade and canned shave cream) for me used to be nothing but a chore and one that I deplored. Now, when the need arises, I happily gather all of my nifty gadgets (DE, SE, SR and others) and a plethora of soothing soft products and begin my very enjoyable ritual of "Real" shaving. I now smile, rather than frown, when it comes time to shave. In short, wet shaving now produces a feeling of happiness within me that I never would have thought possible. Ps. The Shave Nook community has greatly influenced my experience.

I'm in thanks.
I love the fact that when I wetshave its like a flashback in time to my dad and grandpa shaving. I like that it's such a superior shave compared to the crappy costly cartridges out there. And I like the camaraderie of a bunch of other weird ducks out there like myself.

I'm in!
I enjoy the learning, discovery and collecting side of shaving. I first started with brushes as my only brush was a Omega boar and now I have a couple high quality brushes in my den. Along the way I learned an awful lot about different grades of badger hair and what I liked and didn't in a badger brush. Trial and error led me to discover my favorite handle size and shapes. Lately I've been reading and learning as much as I can about vintage and older razors and looking for reasonably priced examples and getting a better idea of what works for me and doesn't. All the while I'm finding how different blades work with certain razors and trying to keep my notes organized enough to be a helpful reference. Finally putting together all the research and experiencing a great and comfortable shave.

I am in, as well. What I enjoy most about wet shaving is the exceptionally clean feeling of my face, sometimes almost painful in a good way. Like a layer has been scraped away, leaving my face bare and refreshed. I truly look forward to the morning shave and never tire of it. Using a soap like CRSW adds the bonus of making that feeling last!

My two year old daughter loves to cuddle and rub her cheek against mine after I shave. Priceless moments that will never be forgotten!
Im in!
Edit to add the simple fact that I now enjoy and look forward to shaving. Before I discovered Wet Shaving it was just something I needed to do and didn't really like doing at all.
