Gents, whats your favorite Truefitt and Hill and why?

Mine are : 1805 and Lavander. 1805 its the scent "of the empire".I really like the scent of that cream, actually one of the top ones out there without any doubts.

Lavander smells more complex than other lavander shaving creams like the Castle Forbes or Art of Shaving. Its not a plain scent but kind of complex with some herbal and fresh notes. Its skin care also its better than the 1805.

What are yours?

The only one I have is Authentic No. 10. the scent is okay and it is a good performer. Pam just sent me a sample of the matching aftershave balm and it is good, as well.

I agree with the 1805 being one of my favorites. I like the Almond quite a bit too. I didn't really care for the Lavender.

Although I like most of these T&H creams, especially the 1805, I would have to say that my favorite is the West Indian Limes, because of its ability to transport me mentally to a tropical isle for a few minutes. It's my wife's favorite too.

I haven't tried a T&H cream as of yet. I've tried TOBS and Trumpers and really liked them. Just never picked up the last T yet. From what I've heard, the Trafalgar scent sounds pretty interesting.

I voted rose as it's my favorite of the rose creams out there but all three T's are good. I also like the lime, 1805, Trafalgar, Grafton, and sandalwood. Oh, and lavender mixed with the Ultimate.

If you can't tell, I'm a T&H fan. I also love their Classic Rooney made 3/1 brush.

Teiste, I voted for Lavender. I know what you mean about the complexity of the fragrance. That's what makes T&H Lavender similar, at least a little bit similar, to the old Coates cream and the current TOBS Lavender shaving soap. I really like whatever they've done with the Lavender fragrance to make it so unique.

I find Trafalgar to be my favorite. It is the one of the few scents I enjoy so much I have the entire line. Shave cream, bath soap, after shave balm and splash, cologne and shampoo.

1805 & Grafton, in that order, are the most elegant for me, followed by Trafalgar, a step backwards...

I ordered the sample pack a while ago and liked the Trafalgar scent so much I eventually ordered a tube. The lavender for me is 'earthy' and changed my perception of lavender as a scent, I really like it. All are quite good performers if I remember correctly and also feel that the Ultimate Comfort is a really good performer that is often overlooked. Not sure if things have changed over the last couple of years though with the formulations.

I have been meaning to try the Rose for awhile...I've probably avoided T&H for the most part since their creams are primarily Cologne scented and I prefer more plain/classic/generic scented creams or EO scented creams. I doubt their Lavender or Lime would top CF, for example.

I like the smoke in the Grafton... The Rose is very nice also!! All of their scent seems to be more complex than other brands and it works to their benefit on most of their scents. To their detriment on others...

I love the 1805. I've tried samples of a few of the others and they don't seem to agree with my skin.

How would compare the Rose to DRH Rose or TOBS Rose creams?

I have both T&H and DRH rose creams. DRH is more simple and plain and a little less "floral".

T&H Rose and Ultimate Comfort is my favs.

1805, Grafton and Trafalgar all smell nice, but are all a bit too cologne scented for a shaving cream IMHO.

I already have the 3 Penhaligons creams and they have a very nice scent but too strong since it lingers for hours after the shave, which is not good since I like to end my shave with one of my 300+ fragrances in my collection and don't want to be forced to use a Penhaligon frag after a Penhaligon shave Wink

Same with T&H cologne type scented creams - I'm leaning towards the more simple traditional scented shaving creams, with lime/lemon/rose/almond/sandalwood and more basic scents, that won't stay present for hours after my shave, but just during the shave Smile
