I'll preface this by saying something I've mentioned on occasion in the past -- I've never seen fit to spend more than $50 on a brush.
That was my Simpson's Berkeley in Best, which I got secondhand here on the Nook.

So from that limited horizon, my favorite (of eight) remains the Semogue 620.
I like its handle and the way it feels in the hand.
I like how it feels, especially since it broke in nicely, with softness but with no loss of backbone.
At first I thought it didn't deliver enough lather, but that meant just minor adjustments that had nothing to do with the brush itself.

I have 33 brushes, but I can't single out just one as my favourite.  I have several favourites, in no particular order: Rooney Heritage Emillion 1, shavemac Beehive finest, shavemac 3-band silvertip, Thater 3-band, VP Leonhardy 3-band silvertip, Simpson Colonel best, Simpson QEII Jubilee Manchurian.

Always the correct answer Biggrin. While I love acquiring new things in this hobby to try I'm working on appreciating what I already have as well.

There's always something new...so that never ends.

I really like my Thater 2 band.

Likes and dislikes change through time for people. So we should never say never.
When I started wet shaving, I always looked for the softest brushes, now after a long time, I am liking a little backbone with soft tips.

I have a Simpson's Manchurian, Couple of shavemac (do1-2/2 band silvertip,) Thater, and a couple of M&F's

Dollar for dollar, shave for shave I don't think I have a better brush than my Paladin Sumo.

If Simpson made Paladin's then they would be $100-$200 more than what Ken charges, its my best all around performer.

For sheer luxury I would give the nod to my Savile Row 3126.

My Varlet Beehive and Paladin Chief.

Not only are they superb performers, they were made for me by friends. That's an unbeatable combo.

My new-old M&F 1/3 Blonde Badger, with hair that rivals any Finest I've tried. Wonderful.
Beyond that, my other favorite brushes belong to someone else. Biggrin

Currently a Palladin Falstaff. Always pleasing to use. Great lathers and great firm face feel.
I also really like my Vie-Long 16510 that is a great compromise between firmness and softness.
Both those brushes are similar in size, 23-24mm x 49-50mm bulbs. Might be my sweet spot though I'm very new at this and still trying out different brushes to expand my base of experience and learn what I like in a brush.

Vulfix 377 in Silvertip. I have or have owned over 60 brushes from the finest makers and hair types but this brush is perfect for me.

My chubby 1 in super and Shavemac 2 band takes runners up.
