Good morning.
A fellow Adelaide wet shaver "alfredus" has spoken of this forum many times at our shaver's fortnightly [Sunday] meet ups so I joined today.
I have been wet shaving since '66 and started with my father's DE. I have hated DE's with a passion ever since. Vicious little bleeders
I discovered Schick injectors when I was about 16 and much later in life developed a real enjoyment for those "odd" looking SE's. The real change for me came about 12 months ago when I tentatively got a straight. It took about a month of hybrid straight/SE shaves before I could go solo but now the straight is 99.9% of the time my daily shaver.
I make my own shaving soaps, have recently turned my hand at making a brush or two and have a growing collection of rocks for rubbing metal. I enjoy restoring and honing vintage and not so vintage straights. Soon to arrive will be a Coticule to round out my collection. I no longer have RAD, SAD, HAD or any other shaving diseases, denial is the path to recovery.
