There is nothing like a good old "Texas Frog Strangler". We lived on Lake Woodlands, north of Houston, for several years and a few times the lake rose well up our lawn; although very alarming no water got in the house. When we lived in Quail Valley, southwest Houston, we were on a golf course bordered by Oyster Creek and several times the creek burst its banks and flooded the course, but not our house, fortunately; however, we did find a few stray 'gators roaming about. Ah, the joys of living in the Bayou City. From what I've seen on the Weather Channel and what I've heard from friends living in Texas, the rains have been relentless. My heart goes out to y'all.
