Pedro Bermudez Presents the 2016 TSN Special Edition Taramundi Knife
The Shave Nook is proud to present a Special Edition Taramundi knife from famed Spanish Artisan Pedro Bermudez. Senor Bermudez made 50 of these very special knives for the Shave Nook forum. We expect the shipment to arrive in a few days and when it does, we will include a purchase link in this thread. There will be a limit of one knife per member. You may purchase the knife SOLD OUT
This classic design from the Teramundi region of Spain is a simple folder or peasant knife; it does not have a locking mechanism or a spring and relies solely on friction. The handle is made from black stablewood; a hard laminated and stabilized wood. The blade is forged from ACX380 Stainless Steel and the Ferrule is decorated and mirror polished. It is presented nicely in a leather sheath and will feel at home in your pocket.
Juan and Pedro wanted me to explain that because it is a friction knife, it may not be suitable for those who live in an extremely arid climate. Extremely dry conditions can cause the knife to loosen slightly. Unless you live in the middle of the desert though, you should be fine.
Approximate Dimensions:
Blade Length: 80mm
Total Length: 175mm Open and 95mm Closed
Weight: 45g
Price: $65.00

When this project was first announced, I was semi-interested then I backed off because I'm not really a "knife guy." But as I was sporadically checking on the thread detailing its progress I became more and more re-invigorated and now I'm fully on board. Looking forward to its release and I hope I can get one!

This is a perfect knife for 'non knife' people. It is probably legal carry in most jurisdictions and delightfully lacking the whole tactical black aura that elicits negative
responses. Once people carry such a knife it becomes an indispensable companion for countless applications: cellphone wont open? share that apple, open the package from BULLGOOSE, cut the seat belt from a accident victim and hand to a passing doctor to perform a emergency tracheotomy or face down a Malibu Canyon mountain lion ( I said 'here, kitty kitty kitty and got a look of utter disdain as she vanished). This takes the shaving adventure beyond the nook.

My sister could have used that when she was being stalked by a mountain lion while she was running through Griffith Park in Santa Monica Mountains. And every viewer of the second season of 24 wished Kim had one as well.

Thank you Hector. I am not a knife guy either but, this is a cool knife!
It is. I also enjoyed the whole journey with the updates. It would have been uncivilized not to get one
