One of my son's is wanting a carbon fiber handled brush.

I'm guessing it may have to be a custom.  Does anyone have any suggestions or recommendations?

Thanks.

Cool idea! I want one too!

A quick search indicated that solid epoxy carbon rod in suitable diameters (1.25 - 1.75 inches) appears to be somewhat uncommon.

I imagine there are a number of artisans who could make this dream a reality.

Rudy Vey seems like someone to ask if that is something he could get ahold of. If not, maybe Doug K. here on the nook or Vladimir Ferdman.

Yes indeed.  Here is the Muhle brush with carbon fiber handle... it's not cheap!

ask your local bike shop... usually they throw the cut pieces from carbonforks away... those are ~24,5mm inner diameter...

I own the Fusion Razor from Mühle in that range.
The most expensive razor in my collection, costing me 1.5 times what I paid for my Pils DE and Feather ASD2.

The carbon handle looks cool and feels quite nice, lightweight solid feel.

The brush however was not for me. Too little density, too much splay and floppy feel for my liking.
Far too expensive a brush for what you get. You can get a Simpson Chubby 3 Manchurian or Chubby 3 Silvertip for that price.

I should have added that in addition to the carbon fiber handle, the brush has to have a great knot (sorry Muhle).

Thank you Claus for confirming that a Muhle knot is probably not the right choice for me either.

I'm guessing that's gonna be a one off custom job. Hope you're willing to spend a lot of $ and wait a while.

I'd buy a kit of real carbon fiber wrap on Amazon and bond it onto my favorite brush handle before having my favorite knot put in it.

It's been awhile since I bought a CH3 Manchurian or SiLVERTiP, but for the price I see the Muhle going for you could likely buy nearly one of each of the Simpson brushes. On Fendrihan that brush is going for $625 USD....OUCH! Especially for that knot!

I think Omega makes one. Not sure about the knot, though.
