I've been trying to find a cologne with a strong leather note to it.  Preferably something that could be worn regardless of the season.  I was considering Angel Men Pure Leather but that seems like it would be more of a fall/winter type of scent.  I do have English Leather, but I'm wanting something a little more modern.  Any suggestions would be appreciated!!

I forgot to add "for the budget minded" LOL!  It's not often that I will spend over $100 for a cologne.  I'm more in the $50 and under price range.

Vintage Old Spice Leather...my personal favorite. You can find it on the Bay. This one is on there now:

Pls try to lay your hands on knize ten.

I had been thinking of buying one for last many years and finally got it couple of weeks back.

24 hours later it was still on me. Awesome fragrance

Used it today : no nonsense, manly scent notes : leather mixed with diesel oil and such : distinctive.

Agree that Knize 10 is a classic....but not "modern"

Might want to give Polo Modern Reserve a try.  They kept the "Polo" DNA but ramped up the leather notes.  Very nice.

Modern or not. I love the notes. longevity is super and it has distinctive notes of leather and earthy notes....just like the smell you get when it rains after a long period on a parched land. Like it lots.

I love Trumper Spanish Leather but it's pricey, you might want to consider Pinaud Special Reserve it has a kinda leathery tobaco scent at leat to me it does and it's fairly cheap

I would recommend Acqua di Parma Colonia Lather, Tom Ford Tuscan Leather, Chanel Cuir de Russie and several others from my fragrance collection.

But they are all priced over $100, which is your limit.

So instead I will recommend this from my collection - not very well known, but a steallar dry leather, you can wear year round, perhaps not in the mid day in summer heat, but summe evenings okay:

Etro Gomma - it cost me $90 for a 100 ml bottle. Longevity is 7-9 hours, projection moderate.

Or you could try another one, I also have in my collection, a more dry suede like leather: Duetto Golden Boy, also priced around $100 for 100 ml.

Knize Ten is also cheap and a classic, I also own. They also made a newer version, that is fresher called Knize Ten Golden Edition, which is less floral and more barbershop like. I also own that and find it to be a great take on the old K10.

I was going to add that note but you described it well............... When I wore it years ago I always thought of needing to get my oil changed.

I decided to go the ultra conservative route and picked up this.  I decided for a blind buy I'd better take the cheap route.  Hopefully down the road I can visit a few stores and smell some upper tier leather colognes and then make a purchase.  Until then Quorum will have to do.

I forgot to also recommend you Dior Homme Parfum. This version of Dior Homme has a great strong leather note. I love it.

By the way I forgot I actually also own Quorum. I haven't used mine since 2012. Just used it today. It's fantastic.
I get tobacco, sandalwood and leather.

Awesome cheapie.

Got complimented by a young lady in her late 20's and a mature lady in her 60's. Both asked me what I wore.

My bottle is from 2010.
Heard it's been reformulated and thinned down.
My Quorum gives me 8-10 hours longevity and 2-3 hours strong projection. Great stuff.

As an earlier poster suggested ClubmanSpecial Reserve.,it is rather strong and long lasting 24 hrs +. Special Reserve  has a nice leather armchair scent.I class it as a fall /winter scent though. This past winter I was in a fast food joint on the way to work and the shift manager asked me what I was wearing so she could get some for her boyfriend.

Avon produced a Leather scent in the past that is awesome, pretty straight forward not complex.Just leather saddle or a heavy leather jacket. It can usually be found on Ebay for ten bucks or so.
