My near-daily shaver for the past several months has been the Ikon/Shavecraft Tech. I often back off a day or two a week and use a Maggard V3A -- not as aggressive, but quite a bit less harsh -- and I'm liking it more and more. Would anyone be able to suggest a stainless razor that is comparable to the V3A, just as aggressive, but as forgiving and smooth?

Consider the Rockwell...plate 4,5 or 6...excellent and smooth shaving.

I haven't tried either, but from what I've read the timeless razor might be a good choice

Thinking the same thing a V3A in stainless. The head is one of the best I have ever used.

Agreed, I'm impressed every time I use it. I wonder why I keep trying other razors when they don't provide as good of a shave.

I believe this is the same head as the Maggard V3a... Its a fantastic shaver... A bit aggressive but once you learn how to use it, its wonderful.

Also the Kensington SKU 401-136.00 at Royal Shave is excellent and more "aggressive" than the Merkur type DE head...as is the Timor.

The iKon SB standard razor in stainless is reported to be aggressive, but slightly less so than the Shavecraft Tech, or the Mühle R41. The iKon website offers it as the B1 with a coated shaving head. The one I have is from several years back, and has what appears to be a sintered finish. It shaves very well indeed, but is a bit less aggressive than my R41.
