Finally, I decided to say goodbye to my Neillite Four Hundred, an outstanding and one of a kind featherweight. This is a dark-brown/black Bakelite plastic razor with a metal screw thread. The head has two different size scalloped edges that offer an aggressive shave on the larger scallop and a mild shave on the small scallop size. The Neillite Four Hundred was made by James Neil & Co of Composite Steel Works, Napier Str., Sheffield, England, then licensed to the Four Hundred Mfg. Co. of New York, N.Y., and, as a result, marked “Made in U.S.A." James Neil was a manufacturer of the Eclipse Red Ring razor, a staple in the razor quality. And this explains the high quality of Neillite Four Hundred. The shave quality is in sharp contrast with the way this modest piece of plastic looks. This is truly a great shaver. There are multiple rave reviews on Neillite Four Hundred on the web. The razor is in great shape, looks and functions like new - no cracks, abrasions, deep scratches and, in general, no issues. Because this particular razor is very rare and in superb shape, asking $33/OBO, shipped, CONUS. Please, correct me if I am wrong in terms of pricing.
