I got to check out a few of them at an AoS store.  Endymion was by far my favorite.

This thread inspired me to order some Penhaligon samples from Lucky Scent, and I picked up Endymion, Blenheim Bouquet, English Fern, Sartorial, Bayolea, and Juniper Sling.

Endymion took top spot for me, easily. So much so that I ordered a bottle of it.

I also liked the Juniper Sling, but wasn't crazy about any of the rest - I know there is a lot of love for English Fern, but that was my least favorite - those types of scents just don't jive with me - not saying it's bad or anything, just not for me.

BULLGOOSE has a very nice sale on Penhaligons. It puts these products on par with the EBAY discounters and you will probably get free shaving.

Penhaligons are very nice but for me the one downside of these fragrances is their longevity very poor that's a deal breaker for me.

I was again gifted a tester of OPUS and was able to try Juniper. My experience with Penhaligons is 10 for 10. OPUS, at least for me has this insane drydown and after first applying it high noon yesterday in 93 degree temps and a shower later I can still make out the faintess reminder. It is a very
sophisticated scent and probably as BASENOTES feedback indicates a winter scent. Oh well, Mad dogs and Englishmen go out in the noonday sun, live dangerously because nobody gets out of here alive. Juniper is a superb warm weather scent and I have it on my list, it isn't to be missed.

If one simply can't foot the bill to buy a Penhaligon's cologne (for example, Blenheim Bouquet, English Fern, or Hammam Bouquet), are there any other less expensive colognes or after shaves that perhaps come close to "matching" these?

I appreciate it, guys!

Honestly not really, at least I don't know of any.

They are not popular enough, too much a "niche" product to be copied by the usual suspects.

Just go for originals, anyway.

What is the best way to apply Penhaligons or any other EDT? Meaning by hand like an A/S or buying an atomizer. If atomizer, what is a good one to use?

Usually all EDT's are only sold as sprays, because they are meant for spraying on your body and neck, not so much the facial area.

After Shaves usually come in spalsh bottles, because they are menat to be applied by hand to the facial area.

But there are no rules. Do what you like.

Would using an atomizer with Penhaligons be more efficient so as to make the bottle last longer?

I recently received a bottle of As Sawira from Notino.de (formerly iparfümerie.de).

This shop sometimes has overaged stuff, but with this 2014 issued limited edition, there was not much risk.

Less than half the usual price in Germany, some 86EU.
Looks, feels and smells great.

The box is not cardboard, it is ... wood.
Like the wood veneer in car doors.

sartorial

I've been told by a gentleman who should know that sartorial was a limited run or is out of production.

True?

Still available at several online stores, but not any longer at Penhaligon's shops.

Say what ?!?

I love Sartorial and gave my father my 100 ml edt backup last year. He really is not that big of a fan and use it as he would use an Axe body spray is my conclusion.

Should have kept it for myself......sigh

Sad to hear it's being discontinued - great Fougére

Both the Penhaligons US and U.K. sites still show the edt in stock and the U.K. site still shows the full range of shaving products as available. Can you elaborate as to your source?

A high volume high end perfume dealer at tax free area Samnaun, at Zegg. I had asked him for Sartorial.
