I picked this beautiful Edwin Jagger DE629 from Smallflower several weeks ago because I liked the way it looked. Not only does it look good in person but it shaves great. I was stunned at its performance because my previous EJ was on the mild side. I am attributing it smooth cutting action to its weight 119 grams and perfect balance. Its overall length is 4.0" . It was advertised as an all nickel razor but it looks just like chrome. Whats weird about this razor is nobody else including the EJ website sells it and now Smallflower is sold out.

Thats a very peculiar handle,my friend.
Do you have more pics of it?I have never seen one like that, and trust me,I love Edwin Jagger razors. Is there any chance that the handle could have been made by an "artisan" who added a EJ/Muhle head?
Thanks for sharing my friend.

This is the other picture I took. I bought it directly from Smallflower a very reliable online vendor and store owner for many years. It came in original EJ box with instructions. The finish is stated as nickel but it appears to be chrome.

Wow... Never seen that one before.Huh
It seems a crossover between the RIVA and the Loxley handles: http://www.edwinjagger.co.uk/Razors/Trad...Razors.htm

Maybe you should contact Edwin Jagger too - they usually have a good customer service.

Very nice looking razor! Congratulations! I remember that EJ had specials on some of their older models (like the octaginal handle) but that was several months ago, and this was not one I saw

I dont know,my friend...something is telling me thats not an Edwin Jagger handle, but Im sure Im wrong, or it could have been a prototype, which would make your razor a very desirable item,,,

I sent an email to EJ and waiting for their response if I don't hear anything I will call them in the UK. In any event this razor is a great shaver. Maybe because of its heavy weigh 119gr.
