I just recently put in and order from Mark for the Simfix Grosvenor 2-band Silvertip that was on their Facebook page. Can anyon tell me about any of the qualities of their 2-band Silvertip? Is it comparable to anything else?
Thanks

I had one in faux marble ebony. Dont have it anymore. Way to costly for what it is. Handle was just ok, knot was the same. Sold it and moved on. Just my thoughts

I have found the Simpson 2-band silvertip to be my preferred knot from Simpsons -- nice backbone but less scrubbiness than the Manchurian knots.  However, I have not tried any of the Manchurian or 2-band silvertip knots released last year so things may have changed.  I think the 2-band silvertips that I have used are comparable to the Shavemac 2-band silvertips.  Overall, you should enjoy the knot as it will be good for face-lathering, bowl-lathering, soaps, creams, etc.

Ive read the older 2bands are the best. That the newer "best" is better than previous "best". In my experience, the 2band I tried 6 months back didnt even come close to a shavemac 2band.
