Razor: Merkur Futur
Blade: Treet Durasharp
Brush: Simpson M7
Pre-Shave: Musgo Real Glyce Lime
Soap: TFS Freschezza Polare
Scuttle: Ladysea Two-Piece Scuttle
A/S: Alt Innsbruck

I enjoyed a very nice cooling shave. The Treet Durasharps are an excellent blade for two shaves...longevity is definitely not their strong suit.

A quick shave after a day of swimming. Fresh and well hurry though only two passes.

Along with the blade, a Skylander of my daughters and seeing the grace that has made them, not the last.

Becker scuttle
Somerset Simpson Persian Jar 2 Super brush
Truefitt & Hill 1805 shaving cream
Ever-Ready 1914 Razor
Gem SS PTFE blade (3)
Truefitt & Hill 1805 aftershave balm

An excellent shave. A couple tiny nicks, because my SE technique is just not as good yet as it is with DE blades. I can't decide if I like the Ever-Ready or the Damaskeene best; both are very smooth and feel very good in my hand. I started a new tub of 1805, which is great stuff. Tomorrow I switch to a Floris cream for a few days.

Noticed your French razor looks just like the one I use yesterday. Mine didn't have any brand markings on it and I was wondering who the manufacturer could be. Does yours have any markings? I think mine may be a L'Essor as well. Thanks for any help in the provenance of my razor. Smile

Vie-Long 12601 horsehair brush
Gillette Old Type razor
Gillette 7 O' Clock Super Platinum [Black] blade (3rd use)
Prairie Creations pre-shave oil
Vi-John shaving cream (thanks Jeff Smile)
up & up (Target house brand) witch hazel
Prairie Creations Unscented Aftershave Balm
TOBS Sandalwood talc
Pinaud Clubman Special Reserve After Shave Cologne

The Vi-John is another new cream to me. Jeff very graciously sent this when he sent the GADA shave cream my way. (See yesterday's SOTD.) While both did a very good job, I must say that, of the two, I prefer the GADA. The Vi-John has very little scent. Also, I detected no cooling effect, as I did with the GADA. Making lather was not difficult and I was able to get a 3-pass shave without having to bring my brush back to the bowl. The lather was very stable and did not break down at all. Skin properties were good, also. There was no drying of the skin that I could detect. This is a workhorse of a cream. It won't disappoint but it won't excite, either. What it will do is get the job done.

The new C.O Bigellow (Proraso) shaving cream is a good cream indeed : a lot of slickness as well as a good skin care.Well done for Martelli ! The 444 balm is perfect for summer.
