Chris, I don't find the current Polsilver version of these blades to be the same as the originals, in my opinion. Of course, YMMV.

It would be interesting to hear how many people still have substantial stashes of SIs. When distribution was interrupted they rapidly sold out, prices
entered profiteering levels and really bad counterfeits showed up with bogus UPC codes. My friend Yasha's husband works at the ST Petersburg factory.
He states emphatically the only change was the repackaging. The mill steel specs and production remained unchanged. The bottom line is original SIs
are about as available as any other 'discontinued' product at this point in time.

This rather inartfull posting gleaned from various sources ( forgive me if I do not give due credit) pretty much covers what is available on the market in current or NOS. I know a European vendor is/was selling NOS at bargain prices. I never bought any and am not sure what he was/is selling. There was an
immediate counterfeit Super Iridium for sale on EBAY with a bogus UPC number. correct SIs will read 3014260318024. The St Petersburg factories, which produce the other highly regarded Russian blades discontinued distribution to the West. They resumed with the final Polsilver currently sold. Again, My online
friend Yasha's husband is an engineer with the company and states emphatically Silver SIs and the blue Polsilvers are one and the same. You may find other
packaging variations; 5 or 10, hard plastic VS the common cardboard from various European distributions. Wizamet, Super iridiums, Polsilvers are names now
comingled and the W symbol present on all causing confusion with different people using different references. Keeping them sorted is like one of those Russian dolls with an ever smaller version inside. Again, I do not recall what exactly the European vendor was/is selling. But the ONLY current production are the blue box Polsilvers. Silver blue SIs have become unicorns on the market with remaining stocks treasured in private hands. Celestino claims a difference. I do not. It's something of a moot point. You will be hard pressed to find a superior blade to current Polsilvers. Phil has them 100@ $25.
I'm budgeting for more ASAP. I fully expect a Gillette 747 to mix it up with a Polsilver Tupelev any day now ,way things are going.

In terms of TIME I think they are all foolish pursuits. You spend endless hours online for at best a small cache that lasts little longer than the acquisition. I've never had a truly BAD shave from anything called Wizamet, whatever that means. Life is a whole lot easier buying a 100 blade POLSILVER box from Phil and spending the time saved with a good beer.
My friend Yasha also tells me many of those great EBAY sales from Russia 'fell off a truck leaving the factory' into the extensive russian grey market. It's a matter of ethics; keep Yasha happy with me and Phil in business. Sometimes the names behind the names are more important.

I bought a 10 year supply of Wizamet blades and am a happy camper, drinking of plenty of beer as well. LoL
