Hi everyone -

Some items that I seem to have accumulated that I don't use very often.  All of these prices include CONUS shipping via USPS Priority Mail with tracking and insurance.  If you are an international buyer, please PM me regarding shipping costs and services (I usually cover shipping, but note that many international carriers do not offer the same level of tracking and insurance capabilities).  Payment via Paypal.

1. Feather Artist Club "kamisori" style replaceable blade straight razor in lime green handle.  Comes with unused packs of Feather ProGuard blades (15 total) and Professional blades (20 total - box is still sealed) and a blade guard, which is usually sold separately.  If you are interested in straight razor shaving but aren't quite ready for the daily and periodic maintenance of a straight razor, I think these are good razors to learn on, especially with the ProGuard blades which mimic an open comb safety razor and in my opinion give a nice close shave while giving some measure of protection.  The handle is a tactile rubber and the head is stainless steel.  As seen in the second photo, it can be removed for cleaning.  As someone who has dabbled in straight shaving, I actually find it easier to use the "kamisori" style razor as scales tend to get in the way.  I bought the razor and the guard from the BST here for $50 and the blades from Amazon (totaling $26), so my out of pocket expenses are $76.  My price is $60.  Considering the razors themselves go for more than $75 new, you are essentially getting the blades and the guard (approx. $10) for free. SOLD!

2. Maggard MRG Grey Matte razor with V3A head.  The V3A is their "aggressive" head, but I find it to be more "medium-aggressive" in line with razors such iKon's open comb razor.  The handle, which being smooth, has a nice tactile feel to it and never slipped out of my hand.  It does provide a more aggressive shave than say a Merkur 34C, but I never got a weeper or any nick using it.  I am also a fan of matching handles and heads so I really like the overall look of the razor.  The handle is plated brass and the head is a cast zinc alloy.  I purchased it from the BST here for $20 and used it a handful of times.  Its in the same immaculate shape that I received it in.  It retails for $29 exclusive of shipping.  My price: $20.  SOLD!  Thanks llee89x and TSN!

3. Fine Superlite slant razor.  Made from ABS plastic with a UV hardened metallic coating (the post is metal).  This razor, in my opinion, comes as close as can be found to the virtually impossible to find German bakelite slant that Italian Barber unearthed a number of years ago.  This razor is based on Italian Barber series of stainless steel and aluminum slants (also no longer made) which is of course based on those German bakelite slants.  I find this one to be a closer match because of its super-light weight, which instead of being a hindrance actually makes it a better shave in my opinion.  These are sold new for $30 exclusive of shipping.  The original box is still in great shape too.  I have also used this one a handful of times and so my price is $25. SOLD! Thanks cegadede and TSN!

As always please feel free to discuss my descriptions and pricing in this thread.  If you have any other questions or comments, feel free to PM me.

Thanks for looking,
Josh

Nice razors at very favorable prices. I too fnd that I have plenty of razors, some of which don't see all that much action -- including my CJB shavette, the knock-off of the Feather.

Linguistic aside: I want to find a good Japanese translation for shavette.
Kamisori is simply the word for a razor of any type. Wa-kamisori is the Japanese-style straight razor without replaceable blades. Tsukaisute means disposable.

Yeah, I know that using "kamisori" is inapt.  Not only does it not actually describe the type of razor but it is essentially saying "ATM machine" too.  But, however unfortunate it may be, it is the short-hand for what I'm trying to describe.  As anyone who has read my posts and threads about stuff that irk me (no more "PM sent" posts, please!), it bothers me that I have to turn to imprecise language.  I am forever a hypocrite.
