Today I had an amazing shave.  I have just been shaving with the grain (one pass) since Thursday (which I never do... my signature says "I'm always BBS...", and I ain't exaggerating) ;-) but I wanted to really test out this soap so I wanted a little bit more growth.

I chose a very pliable brush (my Vie-Long 'Cachurro' horse hair) because I wanted to see how easy this soap lathered.  Mind you it was not only my first shave with the "Bosco" scent, but my first shave with Sapone di Paolo soaps, period.

I'm not going to go into a deep review (though I wish I had time to); but just a super brief overview of my experience with the soap.  First, I wasn't quite impressed with the scent when the soap was dry; I didn't hate it, but wasn't quite sure just how much I liked it, but once I lathered and applied it to my face... I came to love it.  Second, the very 'giving' horse hair had no problem lathering this soap to my liking and need in under 30 seconds time (I do need to mention that even though I didn't think it needed it, I did bloom it with luke-warm water for about a minute or so prior to using the brush to formulate the lather).  Third, with that brush, it went on my face so nicely, evenly and thick (without being messy) that I am actually looking forward to using the same soap tomorrow.  I normally do two pass shaves, but on occasion, three.... today was a three and the soap continued to produce a fabulous lather in the brush.  I would recommend this soap for its technical aspects 100%, but only you can decide whether or not you like the scent, as I did.  It's a keeper.

let me know if any of you guys have had good experiences (or bad) with this soap.  Peace out ;-)

Oh, P.S.  ...just really quick; I used a vintage Gillette Slim Adjustable 'Black Beauty' (1969) on "4", and an Astra SP blade (third shave)

I enjoy all of Paolo's soaps, especially lime. I use his ASB almost daily--the best there is IMO.

I'm definitely going to be ordering a couple more scents, for sure
