Hey everyone, I'm looking for an aftershave splash that has great healing ingredients.  I always finish off my shave with a rinse of cold water, then splash on Thayers alcohol-free witch hazel and Razorock Lime Problem Solver.  I find this really helps prevent ingrown hairs which my skin is sometimes prone to, even with very light pressure and with-the-grain passes.  Soap Commander balms are my go-to for the winter but can get a bit oily when it's hot and humid out.  I am looking to add in an aftershave splash that will work well for sensitive skin and replenish my face.  I seem to do fine with alcohol as long as its not overpowering but tend to stay away from menthol.  Scent profiles I enjoy are mostly citrus (lime especially) and barbershop (i.e. PAA CaD is one of my favorite soaps).  Thanks in advance for any help, and sorry if this description was long!  Also working on a college budget Smile

If you want to try Pitralon, I am selling some in the classifieds.

Cheers,
Eric

That package is attractive, Eric. I have owned all four myself, but swapped the Classic (which, Kevin, has menthol) and PIF'd Polar to my son. I use the Swiss, which is my favorite, while the Pure gathers dust. I should try it again tomorrow. I believe I will!

IMHO - if it's healing that you're after - a step away from alcohol based aftershaves might be the way to go. There are many options available - for eg Myrsol Emulsion is both cooling/refreshing and healing. The more pedestrian Nivea ASB (avail with menthol also) is not bad either

I highly recommend you to try the Shea Moisture Shave Tea Tree After Shave. It's simply amazing and pretty affordable too.

Thanks for all the great recommendations so far!  I will look into these.  Thinking I will definitely try to pick up a bottle of Lucky Tiger AS, seems to come highly recommended.  Has anyone tried the barbershop scent from CRSW?  I like the description of it.

I have the barbershop soap from CRSW, and it's a great, clean scent. I may try the balm at some point, but so few of Larry's offerings have menthol which I like.

Though The Fire Fine Craft makes some excellent low alcohol splashes. I have the London Barbershop, For Flint and Devil's Cut.

I love Myrsol Plastic. It has menthol but very light IMO. Really tightens up the skin. I usually follow with a little trumpers skin food except for my moustache area but don't really need it in the summer.
