Went past a Tom Ford store to test it. Was told it will be sold online only from now on.

Considering Floris 1962, and they should be close.
To my nose, and from what I remember - I sold my bottle of Halston Z-14 in 2013 since it was not quite my taste, TF Italian Cypress IS INDEED a more well rounded niche clone of Z-14, but it does not impress me. I would say TF Italian Cypress is a 95% clone of Halston Z-14, and therefore FAR from original.

Is Floris 1962 same type of 90%-95% clone of Halston Z-14 ?

They’re all centered around cypress, but to me, the similarity between the 1962 and Z14 is not as strong as that between TFIC and Z14.

I wouldn’t say the 1962 is completely innovative, but for me, it’s gentler, fresher, and easier to wear (vs the other two).

Roja Dove - Amber Aoud

Just a sampling, luckily. Although this frag is (very!) expensive, there’s a gaudy/cheap aspect to it…and the bug spray…idk, not a fan…

Apparently, it’s their flagship, so YMMV of course.

One of my all time favourites.

It's really growing on me too!  I feel like I'm making up for lost time, just discovering this classic now.

Despite the name, it isn't true patchouli. I am not fan of strong patchouli notes, but this one is beautiful combo of lavender and tamed patchouli ...

Azzaro Acteur - one of the best Rose fragrances for men ever made.
This could easily have been made by Frederic Malle, it's an example of an old discontinued designer fragrance with niche level quality.
Longevity: 10+ hours
Projection: soft, yet present.
A hidden gem.
