Received a package from BGS today and it had my newest and first horse hair brush from Vie-Long, it the 13061M on the far right and she fits in quite nicely.

I do not use a straight razor but if I did I would definitely use those stands.  Are something that you found at mail order houses or, are they custom made?

Actually they are tooth brush holders from Lowes and they hold DE/SE razors as well.

There is a neat book published back in the 70s.  AN EXALTATION OF LARKS collected all the old names for animal groups; gaggle of geese, murder of crows etc. with explanation of meaning. The author went on to create some  whimsical names for groups of people in then modern society.
I've sometimes thought of names for some of these impressive collections posted. Perhaps we need a new contest?

A set of badgers.

Which is the actual collective noun.

Thanks for the compliments gentlemen, my brush collection is coming to an end I believe, I think I can comfortably fit 20 brushes on the current shelf and be good, I may trade off or sell a few that don't work and replace with someting else but I honestly think 20 is going to be the limit, I also have slowed way down on buying straights, I now look at most as what my Mentor calls a JAR (Just another razor) I have limited space for straights as well and have begun to sell of the one's that just don't do it for me anynore and replace with one's that do, they are all exceptionally sharp and give me a great shave but now I am leaning to using those hard to fine or unique razors, I actually have considered dabbling in getting a Kami just for the challenge, I have one but it's not very good.
