Did I read somewhere that someone is selling GEM blades in the throwback boxes from the 1940s?

It is fixed now, don't worry!

Blades from the 40's? Are they still good, after all this time? Huh

I've tried some ancient GEM blades not too long ago. They are carbon steel and they'll rust just from atmosphereic moisture. You can't see it, but it's there. The ones I used demonstrated to me that I'd never use any more old blades.

If I was really hard up I suppose I could use them. My solution was to buy enough modern SS blades for a very long life.

I have some vintage Gem blades from Lord knows what year and they say Stainless Steel on them. They came with NOS Gem razors, some of them in a plastic dispenser.

They are truly old and I've been hesitant to try them but they are all wrapped in the original Gem wrappers, even the ones in the dispenser and I'm sure that they are labeled Stainless Steel.

Can they still be good for use???

I think I may have confused folks...I am not looking for old, antique GEM blades...I am looking for NEW blades in the vintage-style boxes. Sort of like when Coca-cola bottled their soda in vintage-style bottles a few years ago.

Well, the Gem blades that I recently got at Walgreen's come in a similar dispenser to the one I have that is vintage.

The new dispenser is black and the old one is white though.
I hope that helps.
