What blades do you plan on using in that...thing...
=P
I haven't used the open comb, yet, but I have a regular micromatic. The first time I tried it I used a Treet blue carbon blade and almost threw away the razor right after. I thought I peeled a layer of skin off! I later tried again with a gem PTFE, MUCH better!
Good luck!

Blades are on the way my friend. They are the GEM Personna PTFE coated blades. In my limited experience with GEMs, the best blades for such razors.

I had to transport a recruit from Government Island, Alameda to the NAS Hospital after he managed to spill Brasso in his eyes to get out of the service.Nice Gilbert & Sullivan reference, KAV. Fun stuff to enjoy, especially the D'Oyly Carte presentations, and to perform in.

Neverdull comes in a coiled roll resembling insulation batting saturated with a polishing compound. You can tear off a piece and use until black. I like avoiding the mess of rags and it wont cake or get runny like Brasso ( or cause skin reactions with some). It really fits in oddball places like razor teeth rags wont. I will be giving a white glove inspection of your razor. One blemish and it's 2 hours high porting a M1 Garand on the grinder and reporting to Mr Bell you shortcomings every lap.
