My Rooney Haul

I thought for sure my days of buying new Rooney brushes had come to an end with production trickling down to a few Heritage brushes carried by a couple vendors. I stumbled upon a nice little NOS supply and had to pounce!

All four are beautiful in their own right, but I am most excited about the Alibaba as I have been chasing one for years!

My photo link broken. What is the status of Rooney? It was always one of the classics just beyond my income or knowledge.

WOW to that Alibaba 1 that is a huge score, but the other 3 are no lightweights either, compliments your excellent hunting skills! 

I admit, I say I'm content with my decently sized collection and then 2-3 more show up some time later, go figure

I can see them now. And, may I say, in the words of Dickens "Spirit, show me no more"! I would love a dedicated thread on Rooney; photos, availability etc. I did a search and they seem a little anachronistic with modern communications. My kind of people. I WOULD LOVE to someday
actually fulfill my Walter Mitty mental template of a ivory themed English shave set with a quality English brush.

I didn't even see you've been searching for an Alibaba for some time and basically just went in a daze randomly searching for Alibaba's for sale on the internet. Again. After having checked ebay just earlier before reading your post.   

You don't see NOS Rooneys very often! Great haul!

I don't find myself all that impressed with much of what shows up on the shave brush thread these days, but Dave I'd be lying if I said I was anything less than green with envy!!  Well done my friend!  This is an unbelievable find, congratulations!  Rooneys are my personal favorites.

I have to admit to being pretty satisfied with the state of my collection.  There are some project brushes that I am getting rid of, but there really isn't anything that I feel is missing.  However, once in a while I run across something that I don't have or have had and want to try again.  I almost get tired of looking and inquiring and then I finally score, reinvigorating my drive and enthusiasm.
