Good evening gentlemen (and ladies), I have lurked this forum on and off for quite a while, but as you only live once I have decided to join. I have been what we refer to as traditional shaving now for some 8 years. I take no responsibility for the amount of money I have spent, as it was my wife who first suggested it after seeing a thread on a Money Saving Website(!?) Oh the irony. I am a pretty much confirmed DE shaver, with a preference for Gillette TTO's. I like the engineering and the mechanics and still get a childish thrill overtime I open the doors to load a new blade. I prefer Russian blades and badger brushes, mainly Simpson's, though not exclusively. I use both soaps and creams which I predominantly face lather. My top 3 are Tabac, Speick & Institut Karite. I like aftershaves and have a particular hotspot for Pinaud products.
On a personal level, I am kicking 50, in the military, married and enjoy bad films, terrible music, single malts, the odd cigar, nice shoes and watches.
Thanks for your time.
