For those of you who sell on the bay - when is the best time (day of week/time of day) to post stuff? I know having an ad expire on a holiday usually means there aren't many people viewing, but wanted some tips for placement.

I always do mine for 5-7 days, have them end around 8pm middle of week if possible.

Ending on w/ends limits last minute bidders and ending on Friday cuts out the people who head out at night etc.

i do not use RESERVE bids, but always start the bidding at the lowest price i want to sell it at. then, anything extra is gravy.

I went gold starting auctions on a saturday night, 10pm eastern, and ending on a saturday night at the same time. More people are online on the weekends, more so at night. 10pm eastern seems to be a good time, because it's not horribly late on the east cost, and the rest of the country is either just getting online, or have been for a bit.

So far, that's been my most successful auctions, and i've sold 100+ on ebay.

I usually start/end listings Sunday afternoon/evening. Figure it's the time when most people aren't doing anything and have extra free time to surf the net.

I'm with Biggiej . I have been selling a lot of stuff on ebay lately and I see my stuff only selling on the weekend, so I'm just making sure I have listings done before Saturday.

7pm western time.

Day...I have no idea. Sometimes a bunch of stuff sells on Monday - Wednesday. Sometimes stuff sells on Saturday, sometimes people buy on Sunday.

For a non-BIN, I think Mondays are the best. Saturday could be a good day too. People who aren't out and about may use retail therapy online.

I am no expert but I can say that I've missed a few things that have ended during the work day, M-F.

Many employers block E-Bay or give internet quota time. On a few auctions, I would have paid more than what the item sold for so ultimately, the seller lost out on the extra $$$.

Whatever that day, I would say ending at a time in the evening after people have gotten home and maybe even had dinner may be a good idea.

Ebay recommends a three day listing starting on Thursday night
It does work fairly well
