Anybody have any experience with this soap?
I bought it after reading a post on another shaving forum about strong menthol soaps, and I bought into the "Named after the coldest place on Earth" line on the website. I found it very tame and somewhat disappointing... it had a nice scent, almost like a starlight mint but it was rather faint and faded quickly as did the cooling sensation. It lathered nicely and had good slickness but it just wasn't cold enough. By say the 3rd lather it was approaching maybe 1st lather of Stirling "Margaritas in the Arctic" chill levels. Still a refreshing shave on a humid 88 degree day though. Gave it to a co-worker to try to see if it tickles his fancy.

You may have gotten a bad batch. I use Vostok. Cryogen and Arctique and find them all very similar. I like the smell of the Arctique the best but menthol levels on all seem very close to me.

Is it buyer beware with soaps, or do most soap companies stand behind their product if you feel there's an issue?(07-14-2016, 12:00 AM)Trumble88 Wrote: Anybody have any experience with this soap?

Thanks! I'll have to try that out. I enjoy the Arctique as well it does have a good peppermint scent. I haven't tried the cryogen yet.
